A love poem: For mature audiences only!
And Still There Is Love
For mature couples only. A poem to honor love that has stood the test of time. Perseverance is itself an act of love, and a sign of it too. Tell your spouse or lover that you'd do it all over, again and again. Perfect for anniversaries, Valentine's Day, birthdays, or any reason you can think of.
“Still I need to say it:
I love you
and I need you
for you are the best part of us
and the best part of me.
Thank you for loving me,
as I love you.
May it thus ever be.”
10 inches by 8 inches, in burnt red matte only. Choose black or light brown frame, or unframed. (Note: if you select unframed, you will not get a frame, although the picture in the Gallery and the Shopping Cart will show a framed piece. Don't be confused. For those who love the piano and music!
Behold the Dance of Your Soul
This was originally written as a thank you gift for my daughters' wonderful piano teacher. People who know music, who can play music, who can appreciate music, seem to know something special. And they do. Musicians and singers are artists, and they recognize that a single note is indeed music, but when combined with another and another, at different tones, at varying times, and combined with other means of making notes (other voices, other instruments, other keys, etc.) the music is made magnificent and meaningful: happy; clever; boisterous; joyful; somber; sad; ambitious; and so on.
“Gathered together, / these are the whole: / the words that we write, / the things that we say, / the ticks of the clock, / the notes that we play, / the kindness that we bring, / the work that we do, / the songs that we sing. / These are the notes on the staffs of our lives: / the highs and the lows, measured in time. / This is the music we make of our lives. / This is the dance of our souls.”
Text in photograph. A gift for the pianist. A gift for the musician. A gift for those who teach music. A gift for those who love the piano. A gift for those who love music. Only $149.95 Framed*. *Frames subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute a frame of similar color. *Shipping, handling and sales tax, if applicable, are extra. “I miss you, my friend, and always shall.
Farewell, my friend, farewell.”
A touching and beautiful way
to memorialize your best friend.
Farewell, My Friend, Farewell is a tribute to your best friend, or your friend's best friend.
This poem was originally written as a farewell for my brother's dog, Shawn. He was a beautiful dog—friendly, fun, caring—with every quality one could want in a dog, and in a human friend too. He just seemed to know your mood, and he complemented it perfectly. A great dog, and deeply missed.
A great way to honor your dog, or as a memorial for a friend's dog too. Makes a great and touching gift.

“Here we are
—friend to friend—
sharing life once again,
just the way
we did back then.”
Friend to Friend
A great way to tell a friend how much you appreciate her or him. You get to send a flower and a poem at the same time, and it won't just be read and thrown away! Your friend can look at it every day, and think of you, a friend.
Here's the backstory. A very nice lady wanted a special gift to give to her friend. This was a friend who had been a friend for many years. They had known each other since college. They moved to different parts of the country and had separate lives, but always kept in touch. Marriage and children and grandchildren took them in different directions, yet they remained close friends, and ultimately became geographically close later in life. She wanted a poem to give to her friend. This poem is short but I think it expresses the sentiment. It was originally printed on a photograph of the two of them, and they both loved it.
I have now put it on a flower background, with choice of frames.
4 x 6 inches $16.99*
Comes in White, Black and Brown Frames only.

A wedding connects more than the bride and groom. It connects families too.
Golden Thread
A love poem. A wedding poem. Originally written for a beautiful young couple in Illinois several years ago, they honored me by putting it their printed wedding program used at the ceremony. You can do the same, if you order the picture poem, or if you contact me for permission to use it in the ceremony.
“Silent moments, treasured now,
stolen from a hurried world;
gathered thoughts, measured now,
sheltered, savored and somehow
gently wound around and through—
a golden thread now connects
all of me with all of you.”
In gold matte, with either black or light brown frame. (Note: Picture poems are shown with frames in the gallery, even if you order an unframed picture poem. I just didn’t want to show photos of unframed picture matte. You get the idea. If you choose an unframed picture poem, you will get an unframed picture poem, even though it will appear to have a frame in the gallery and the shopping cart.)

May this home give love

“May this love that binds our hearts
now open wide our eyes . . .”
A love poem. For lovers.
For an engagement. For a wedding. For Valentine’s Day. For an anniversary. For any occasion.
May This Love
This poem was originally written for a young couple in Nevada. A beautiful and elegant way to say “I love you.” A gift for your lover or for the bride or groom. Or it makes a great gift for the couple. Insert a photo of the two of them.
I think it also works as a love poem, or as an engagement poem, or even an anniversary poem. And Christmas and Valentine’s Day too. Insert an engagement photo, or a wedding photo, or a photo of your lover.
“We smile once more in our delight
and dance with perfect grace.
I reach for you and hold your hand
and look upon your face.”
Formatted in 10×8 landscape layout, it can be etched to include names and wedding date. Contact me to order it as an etched piece. (Etched pieces are more expensive than printed pieces, because they are one-of-a-kind items.)
Sold with frame only.* Select black or light brown frame. Select matte color.
Framed: Regularly$59.95
On sale for a limited time: $49.99*
Unframed: Regularly $27.99
On sale for limited time: $24.99*
(Note: If you order an unframed picture poem, the Gallery and the Shopping Cart will show a framed piece. It seemed silly to put a picture of an unframed picture poem in the Gallery. So if you order an unframed piece, you will receive the matte only, without the frame. Please don’t be confused by the Gallery photos. They almost all show photos of mattes in frames. )

For those who love puppies. And who doesn't?
My Puppy Loves
A slightly silly poem, this is an etched piece, not presently available in printed form.
We had this etched with a picture of our puppy, Penny. Etching allows for personalization, and so we added Penny's name to this piece to show the personalization. (Unfortunately, she has some hair covering her left eye. Oh well!)
Your puppy will look great in this piece! Just let me know the name and gender of your puppy. Use the Contact page.
“My puppy loves to find a place
where she can rest her little face . . .”
10 inches by 8 inches, black matte and black frame. Etched only.
Priced at only $69.99: We will include the name of your puppy at no extra charge. Just let us know the name via email. See contact page.
Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of etched pieces.

so hope will live, eternally.”

playful with inquiring mind;
happy tail on cute behind:
That’s our puppy!
That’s our pooch!”
That’s Our Puppy! That’s Our Pooch!
A perfectly silly way to honor your puppy!
It’s etched, and so your puppy’s name can be inserted. Put your puppy’s photo in the opening (which is 4 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches high) and you have a perfect way to exhibit your pup (at least in a photographic way). A great gift!
Just Contact me with the puppy’s name and we will insert it on the matte, under the photo space.

A gift, an heirloom, for a best friend.
The Perfect Friend
Friendships are so very important. A young college student wanted to give a special and meaningful gift to her best friend at college. She told me a little bit about their friendship and about her friend, and about the qualities in her friend that drew them together. College friends often are friends for life, and special relationships can develop in a college atmosphere in which there is intensity of study, an intensity of fun, and a variety of very interesting people.
“If I could choose what I should be
and then add something new,
I think I’d choose the best of me
and then I would add you . . .
If I could be the kind of friend
that every friend should be,
I’d choose to be just like you,
the perfect friend for me.”
I enjoyed writing this poem, and even though I didn’t know the recipient, it was fun learning a little about her and what qualities made for a great friendship. A couple of years after writing this poem, I was fortunate to meet the friend, and she was exactly as described to me by the giver of the poem! A very nice friend indeed! I also think that her friend will keep this heirloom forever.
I am offering two versions: Etched (10×8 matte, double matted, black frame. You add the photograph. This photograph shown above does not come with the piece.) You can also order a Photo Poem version (details below).
