Welcome to the Blog page!

We will discuss different subjects here, and often we will show poems on all kinds of subjects. Already we have shown many poems here. I truly hope you have enjoyed them.

Many of the poems that you see here have been printed or etched on picture matting for insertion into a frame. These make very nice and unique gift items. And, I can write one just for you or your friend or loved one, and the poem can be etched or printed on matting for you, or I can do it on paper with your special photograph. Several months ago, a very nice customer who understood copyrights asked if he could use one of the poems on this site for his daughter’s graduation book at her high school. I agreed to allow him to publish this poem in the graduation book as a dedication to his daughter, for a small fee. (I have to make a living, just as you do!)  While I am in the business of selling gift items, I also know that sometimes people just might want the use of a poem for a different purpose—for a reading in a wedding, for example, or at a funeral or wake.  If you are interested in “renting” a poem (without actually buying a picture poem gift) to be read at an event or used in a high school yearbook, we have made this possible. See the Commissioned Poems page, then look under the Permission or Allowance to Publish or Use for Limited Purpose section, or go to the “Permission to Use a Poem” page, or send an email to info@danielmarkpicturepoems.com.
