“I have willed my soul

with all that is within me

to keep a promise to myself . . .”

Marathon

I ran my first marathon at age 50.  It was an amazing experience.  And frankly, I never ever thought that I could run 26 miles, until I did it.  It takes training, dedication, work, and more work.  But it is still an amazing experience, and a great achievement for anyone.  And I think all marathoners would tell you the same thing.

I am offering two versions of this poem, in different presentations.  These are portions of a longer poem, but it makes a unique and affordable gift for the marathon runner.

Version 1 has one stanza. Version 2 has two stanzas.

6 by 4 inches with choice of white, brown or black frame.

Regularly only $16.99* On sale for a limited time $14.99!

*Shipping, handling and sales tax, if applicable, are extra.

Frames are subject to availability. I reserve the right to substitute a frame of similar color.

Also available as an etched piece and a print-on-picture-matte piece.

For another poem for runners, see Runner’s Blessing.
