The Legacy

A poem written from the perspective of an organ donor to his or her family.

“I didn't mean to leave so soon;

so much was left undone.

We always think that later's there:

it comes with every sun . . .

“I'm grateful I can help someone:

I've left a legacy

so someone else can yet live on

with some help from me . . .

“I hope that you find comfort

in my memory:

The work I do helps someone live—

This poem is 20 x 16 inches, etched, in a frame. It is here shown in charcoal matte with an oval opening. But, in order to make it a bit more affordable, it will be sold with a rectangular double matte opening only, with black matte. (In other words, the oval opening is not available. I don't have photos in rectangular openings to show, but you can see those on other etched pieces in the “Weddings and Love” category.) This piece can be ordered with two rectangular openings. One can be used for a photograph of the donor, and one for a photograph of the donor's family, or perhaps for a photograph of the recipient. You may insert whatever photo(s) you desire.

Personalization included. Black or Light Brown Frame included. Contact me with the name or names to be included. Please be sure the spelling of the name(s) is correct. We reserve the right to substitute frames of similar color. Frame shown above is not available.

A Note About Selection Boxes When Purchasing an Item

Read the instructions on pages where multiple product choices are present. Then go to the Selection Boxes. If you have any difficulties with the Selection Boxes, click the "Clear Selection" button until all boxes are cleared (you may have to click it more than once), and then enter all your choices again.

If you put an item into the shopping cart and then change your mind, click the red X, and when the "Return to Shop" button appears, click the arrow that takes you to "The Shop." Click through and then return back to your page by clicking the Photo related to your choice, or go through the main navigation menu. This is necessary to clear the shopping cart and the selection boxes. I will try to find out if there is a fix for this, but for now the above should work. If not, contact me.

For downloadable items, make selection(s) then follow Shopping Cart to PayPal. After paying, you will receive instructions on how to download your item(s).

Frames & Etched Pieces

Frames: See Top Menu Page titled "Frames." As the frames do contain glass, we ship the pieces with great care to prevent breakage. Be very careful when opening the package, and watch for breaks or cracks in the glass right away. See the top menu item titled "Frames."

Etched Pieces: Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of etched pieces.
Depending on the amount of text for personalization, photograph opening sizes may have to be adjusted and some text sizes may have to be adjusted also or perhaps edited.
