Soon to Bloom: Another Graduation Poem for Daughters

Thank you to all who viewed “Of Distant Mist and Muffled Drum”, a poem to honor our servicemen and women, past and present.

Today, I am running “Soon to Bloom,” another graduation poem especially for girls. If you like it, you can order one for your graduate. Email for pricing and details to info@danielmarkpicturepoems.com. This will be laser-printed on quality paper with a flower background.  It could also be etched in either 10 x 8 inch size with a 3.5 x 5 inch opening, or in 20 x 16 inch size with a 4 x 6 opening for your graduate’s photo.  The 10 x 8 will have the second and fourth stanzas only due to space limitations.

Soon to Bloom

You’re moving on to your new goals,

with nothing left behind.

We see awards that you have earned,

reflecting just how much you’ve learned.

We’re proud of you,

and glad for you.

And as your future comes in view,

it warms our hearts to see your smile—

quiet, sweet and kind.

This is the day that you commence

another stage of life.

It is of course your common sense

that brings you to this day.

You’ve worked so hard

and learned so much

and now you’re on your way.

We see the strength that flows from you.

We see your quiet beauty.

We see a mind so deep and clear.

We see a heart so wise and pure.

We see the poise that carries you

with class and dignity.

We see a face that shows no fear.

We see resolve that will endure.

We see your calm assurance.

You rise above the crowd.

We watch you now with reverence—

stand up tall and proud.

Go forward now in confidence;

your grace now fills the room.

We see the promise that you are:

greatness soon to bloom.
