Ask.com says that 220,000 couples get engaged each year on Valentine’s Day.
The average man will spend $272 on Valentine’s Day gifts, and the average woman will spend $209. The most purchased items are greeting cards, flowers, and jewelry.
And, 30% of women think the holiday is over-rated.
