“Because of You”
A young woman asked me to write a memorial for her father. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and father to several children and he had several grandchildren too. She had a photograph of him in his Air Force gear that she wanted to serve as the theme. “Because of You” resulted. I love writing family memories, because it is so interesting to learn about people’s lives. She ordered several copies of this piece to give as gifts to her siblings. I was honored to be able to give a lasting memory to the family.
I am including this piece as an example of what can be done to remember someone special. I like to think that this too will be passed down to following generations.
